Julia (Orlich) Hawkins of Springfield, Missouri, earned bachelor’s degrees in architectural engineering and civil engineering from Missouri S&T in 2006. A letter winner and four-year member of the cross country and track and field teams, she was co-captain of the cross country team her senior year. A professional engineer in the environmental services department for the city of Springfield, Hawkins is vice president of the Ozark Chapter of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers and serves on the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers board as the professional engineers in government representative. A member of several campus organizations including Chi Omega, M Club, and Omega Sigma, Hawkins served as Architectural Engineering Institute president, American Society of Civil Engineers secretary, Blue Key president, and was a candidate for Homecoming Queen and St. Pat’s Queen of Love and Beauty
